Christina de Castell, Manager, Policy & Advocacy, International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA)
Christina is the manager, policy and advocacy at IFLA, responsible for policy and advocacy around issues including copyright, eBooks, licensing, and access to digital information. She has represented the world’s libraries at the UN, the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Internet Governance Forum. Christina holds a masters degree in library and information studies from the University of British Columbia and has fifteen years experience in public libraries and government agencies in Canada in roles related to digital licensing, public access to technology, website management, legal research and policy development. Christina returns to her role of Director, Collections and Technology at Vancouver Public Library (VPL) in April 2016.
