Ken Roberts, Ken Roberts Library Consulting (via Skype)

Ken Roberts was Chief Librarian of the Hamilton Public Library from 1994 until his retirement in 2012.  He has received both the Canadian Library Association's Outstanding Service to Librarianship Award (2012) and the Ontario Public Library Association's Lifetime Achievement Award (also 2012)as well s the Ontario Library Association's Larry Moore Award for Distinguished Service (2015) . He is also the recipient of the Canadian Public Library Association's Outstanding Service Award.  In 2011, he was inducted into McMaster University's Alumnae Gallery in recognition of his contributions to society.  He is a former President of both the Canadian Library Association and the Ontario Library Association and is a popular speaker on the topics of positive organizational culture, leadership, technology and trends affecting the future of libraries. He is proud to have been a leader-in-residence at the Edmonton Public Library in the Spring of 2013.
Ken has been a member of the Royal Society of Canada's Expert Panel on the Future of Libraries and Archives in Canada. 
Ken is also a former Governor General Award nominee for Children's Literature and has been shortlisted for the Silver Birch Award, Silver Birch Express Award, Canadian Children's Book Award and the Christie Book Award. His novels have received starred reviews in prestigious publications such as The Horn Book, Kirkus Reviews, and School Library Journal.
